Editor's review
This is an audio editor including a recorder and a mixer. Analyzing the recordings and adding effects are additional features.
Magic Audio Editor pro is a digital-audio editor. The interface is quite good. The design is good, displays the recording in waveform format. That helps use the cut-paste paradigm on audio editing. Since you can zoom in into specific points of the waveform precisely, the edits are precise too. There`s a whole range of tools arrayed on the tool bar so that they are easily accessible. But that can lead to a little problem too. You`ll need some time to get familiar with it. If you are not aware of the implications of the application of these little tools, you are going to take that much more time. The waveform display and the cursors are well designed, there should not be much of a problem in picking the right points to cut/edit or apply an effect.
Effects, edits, filters you can apply include Cut, Paste, Move, Delete, Fadein/Out, Crossfade, Vibrato, Delay, Normalize, Fade, Flanger, Amplify, Invert, Insert Silence, and more. It`s the perfect program for home-studio recording and for people just getting started with audio editing. This tool lets you record audio from a wide range of sources and in many different formats including Windows PCM (WAV), MP3, Ogg Vorbis, WMA 9 and AIFF. Polishing up the raw recording and creating a reasonable master recording is possible with this too. If you were getting into audio editing, trying to become a sound recorder, here is a tool that can get you going.
